825 steering leak
« Reply #1 on: November 27, 2019, 12:02:26 PM »
My mid-90's 825 has developed a fairly significant steering fluid leak. I got the hood off and as best I can tell, it is leaking out the bottom of the power steering housing, where it bolts on to the pitman arm (I think that's what it is?) that controls the steering. Has anyone encountered this before, or have any ideas what I can expect? Is there some sort of bushing or seal that is the likely failure, and how big of a job might I be looking at? We have a big storm coming this weekend so I don't want to dig in too deep yet because I'm sure I'll be needing the tractor. Thanks for any advice!
