DO NOT sand the nylon rings this is just a suggestion warm up the nylon rings with hair dryer this will soften up the nylon.I have seen similar nylon rings but nothing that looks like what you have. When installing nylon ring on to the piston I have used hot water to warm them up then install. there is a manual here online here look around and check part numbers

Belarus 310 3pt lift cylinder rebuild bushing fit?
« Reply #1 on: December 11, 2016, 06:22:13 PM »

We acquired a Belarus 310 this spring (and we have fallen in love with it).  I am attempting to rebuild the 3pt lift cylinder, the PO gave me a Belarus rebuild/o-ring kit and I almost done with re-assembly however the nylon/plastic bushings/rings that straddle the o-ring on the piston head seem to be too big?  The kit is direct from Belarus - I cannot read cryillic, so maybe I am missing something - like a required fitting method?  The bushings/rings will not contract enough to slide into the cylinder.  I have rebuilt engines before and I know their are plenty of tricks to installing rings properly but I cannot figure out how to do it on this cylinder.  I tried leaving the assembled piston/rings outside hoping the cold temps (10 deg F) would contract the nylon, no luck.  I tried oiling everything up and gently taping the cylinder over the piston in a circular pattern, got one ring in but not the second.  I am starting to think I should sand the rings down a bit.

Has anyone had a similar problem? or any sugestions?
