After more exploration today I believe that the splined section of the axel it's self  is seized. .. can someone give me any suggestions how to free this up?
I removed the adjuster gear or nut and applied pressure with a porta power with no success.
Suggestions? ???

825 Front axel width adjustment
« Reply #1 on: October 25, 2017, 10:54:13 PM »
So the 93 825 I picked up this summer is working well but I'd like to widen the front axel . When I purchased the tractor it was still at shipping width . I juggled the rear tires around and widened it. Now I'm having trouble with three front.
The right side (from the seat) adjusted with no trouble but the left side won't move out more than a half inch.. I took both of the pinch bolts out and when I turn the adjustment gear the axel tube will only move about a half inch and comes up tight... it actually comes up tight with a clunk sound. Am I missing something that needs to be removed or loosened?  Any help or advice is appreciated. .
Thanks
