My 825 will not engage in the lower speed reducer  if there is some dirt under the pedal.  There must be some adjustment.   Those are spur gears in there also, so there is not a side thrust on the gears.

I don't hardly ever use that reducer pedal on the floor on mine.  But i'd start off checking that pedal is making a full travel both ways as dirt can get jammed in there over time especially if not used much.  IF its free and goes in both directions properly check the linkage under the cab. Shift it into low and go look and see if the linkage is indeed travelling all the way it should be. Maybe there is some adjustment.  That's where I'd start.

825 reducer jumps out of low
« Reply #1 on: March 21, 2018, 02:38:57 AM »
My 93 825 has the reducer pedal on the floor. This winter when snow blowing the pedal started jumping out of low when under load... pedal stays in high no problem but as soon as I get a load on the tractor it jumps out of low.
Anyone ever have this happen before? Any ideas what might be going on?
Any help is always appreciated. .
