Yes you can get this collar part on ebay along with the oil seal. You can get parts for these 250AS with not much problem.
Ive never had any real big problems with it till I had this stripped bolt issue and I will have that fixed better then new.
The starters on these tractors were never that good but a company here in USA is making a wormgear starter for them now and
it works great. You can get that on ebay aswell.

Good you got it off with out much trouble now can you get a new one and if so whats one of them work?  I know the tractors made at the MTZ factory parts are  not an issue going back decades but those 250's I believe were made in the Ukraine or something and sold under the Belarus name. Try calling MTZ or there is a few parts suppliers in the states too. If its a common issue then probably they will have stock.

Well got it off today using a flat chisel to get started and then it came off. Yes it had a fiber gasket and glue behind it holding I guess.

So now can get a new one and a new oil seal for it too. The I have to rethread the bad bolt holes holding the brake housing using
the Time Sert system then I will be ready to put the whole gear wheel assembly with shaft back into the side of the tractor.
One step at a time:)
One guy had told me be sure to engage the positraction lever on the floor so the shaft will slide it easy when I get that.

Yes Im going to replace the oil seal aswell. Yes maybe it has some lineup pins but I don't see any on the part diagram book
I have a blue colored parts book. I have a service manual aswell and will have to look again at it for any lineup pins.
I haven't tried a slide bar, I don't have one at this time. I put some PB blaster on it but no difference. Strange its so hard
to get off.

Oh okay so there should be an oil seal there in the center where the a axle runs through. Looks like that area is damaged. Are you replacing that part then? Like I said if I could look at  parts diagram it would  be easier.  Have you tried banging on it or using a slide hammer?  Maybe there are some alignment studs underneath that is holding it.

Yes the round cone shaped part and thats where the shaft from the wheel reduction gear shaft goes into. My old one broke and have to pull
out the section still in there which is loose and easy to pull out when Im ready to do so.
I notice the flange front edge is scared up and out of round from the shaft rubbing on it when some bolts where loose and stripped.
Im redoing some of the bad bolt hole threads with the Time Sert thread system which works real good for stuff like this.
But I ran into this problem of trying to get this round cover cone off:)

Are you talking about the round piece with rag stuck in it?  Have you tried tapping it with a hammer or attaching a slide hammer of some sort to it? I have not had one of those apart. Do you have a parts diagram pic?

Im trying to get the round collar off that is under the brake housing that bolts onto the side of the tractor.
It also has a rubber grommet in the hole I will replace in the new one.
My old collar is worn out around the hole. I have all the bolts off it but it doesn't seem to want to move.
How does that collar come off? ??? ??
