520 and 52 is probably the same, or very close.
We posted many manuals for old Belarus for free download at http://www.mtzequipment.com/tractor-service-manuals  , click "Older models" tab.

Your bets to refurbish the tractor are good, as it's current version (MTZ 570) is still in production, and shares many parts with your model.
Talk to our partd department (1-855-246-4689 x222).
We stock most of the critical parts for this tractor.

I inherited this tough old Belarus tractor, probably made in the 1970s. Considering to refurbish it. Not sure what the model number is. The side panel says "M-520" but under that in smaller print it says "MTZ-52" -- Any assistance would be appreciated. Please see attached photos.

From some initial searches, it seems that there is a market for parts in various places. What do you think the prospects are for getting this back to working order? It has been sitting in an enclosed shed for the past 12-15 years. Thanks!
