Maintenance - Service & Repair / Oil from Exhaust After Rebuild 562
« on: October 08, 2019, 08:34:12 PM »
Howdy folks.  So I rebuilt my engine on a 562.  It turned on fine and I was so happy.  BUT.  It soon started puffing a little smoke.  Now it is blowing oil out of the exhaust and my crankcase is pressurized.  What did I do wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok.  I did blow out the holes when I put the new gasket on.  Not sure what u mean by get all the water out of the block or radiator?  I guess I'll have to take the head to get checked it is off right now.  The engine did have a light knock or ticking sound afterwards.  When I put it back I'll check the water pump pressure.  Thanks.

:'( so last month I replaced the head gasket on my tractor. Belarus 562.  Cutting hay a coolant hose busted and before I found it the tractor overheated on me and I ended up with water in the oil.  :'( :'( :'( So I pulled off the head again and the gasket looks fine.  What else could I have messed up? Thanks

I will do that.  By the way the manual says 148 ftlbs.  Sounds kind of excessive but is that correct?

:-[  Ok rookie mistake. I forgot the Teflon rings on a head gasket repair of a Belarus 562.  Do y'all think it will be ok to run it like that? Or should I take it apart again? Thanks for any advice.
